The Maremma
Bolgheri
From the terraces of Bolgheri you can admire the countryside and the sea: this village comes alive with craft stores, wine bars, taverns and restaurants. You will discover the local food and wines belonging to the rich and fascinating tradition of this area.
The avenue of Bolgheri and the Via Bolgherese are full of agritourisms and horse farms, ideal for walking, biking or horseback riding. The excellent wines of Bolgheri are celebrated on the Wine Road of the Etruscan Coast. We recommend sipping a glass of Sassicaia, Ornellaia or Masseto.
CASTAGNETO CARDUCCI
In the heart of the Etruscan Coast, this location offers a uniquely beautiful land and excellent cultural attractions and food and wine.
Some of the latter include not only the wines of the Wine Road, which also includes Bolgheri, but also a very high quality extra-virgin olive oil and typical recipes featuring local game (roe deer, hare and pigeon), from which traditional dishes are made that are definitely worth trying. Medieval knights lived here, as well as the poet Carducci, after whom the village takes its name. The Bolgheri Nature Reserve will enchant you with first-rate natural beauty.
Tuscany
Cities of art
Tuscany was the cradle of the Renaissance. A city filled with countless attractions is Florence, the regional capital with a rich history involving power, art and culture. Visit the Uffizi, walk around the streets and discover its little secrets, such as the Rose Garden, from which you can enjoy a panoramic view.
In Siena, it is as if time stopped in the Middle Ages. The city still has its original charm. The cathedral, the alleys and the many taverns where you can taste the best of the traditional cuisine, there is everything you could want! Lucca and Pisa are also waiting for you, you are truly spoiled for choice!
Villages
Not only large cities, but also villages perched on hills. Volterra's origins date back to Etruscan times, and inside the walls you can wander through its winding, narrow streets, diving into an atmosphere of times gone by, courtesy of the medieval evidence that results in a colorful festival.
Don't miss San Gimignano, the land of saffron and Vernaccia, its white wine. This town is even a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are still 14 towers left of the seventy built by the town's ancient wealthy families. Here you will experience history as only the knights and ladies of the past did!
